Actor, celebrity and TAPS ambassador Jeremy Renner introduces “They Also Serve,” a video filmed during a TAPS retreat for military widows. The stories of these young women who lost their husbands in war are poignant and real. But there is hope too – hope for these young widows as they re-build their lives with the support of others who have experienced a similar military loss. TAPS holds dozens of events around the country each year to assist families of our fallen military heroes and has helped more than 35,000 people since its founding in 1994 by military widow Bonnie Carroll. TAPS provides peer-based emotional support, grief seminars and retreats for adults, Good Grief Camps for children, casualty casework assistance, grief and trauma resources, connections to community-base care, and a 24/7 resource and information helpline for all who are grieving the death of a service member. Call TAPS for help and support at 1-800-959-TAPS (8277) or go online to www.taps.org.
